About the Artist

The excitement that comes with making pots from start to finish is something that is hard to explain unless someone has experienced a "great passion" in some aspect of their life. For me it started with an intro to art class in 1974 (thank you Marian Angelica and Glen Nelson). Although "life" took me away from clay for nearly 32 years, I never lost that initial passion or desire to be a potter.

I continue to be influenced by other potters and cultures. Because of this I am always trying new techniques and materials. My work varies from earthenware and stoneware to porcelain. Firing ranges from Raku to high fire glazes. I try to make pots that are functional yet can be displayed on a wall or shelf.
